life is about choices....

i have been doing a lot of thinking lately and have come to the conclusion that although life is about choices...it is the consequences of those choices that should really matter. some people just never learn. no matter how devastating the consequences...no matter how trying the ordeal...some people are just stuck in a sad and pathetic cesspool of misery and they refuse to choose another way. they refuse to visit reality and to seek a better life. they refuse to see the good and lighted path before them, full of people who love them and wish them only the best, and continue to wander around lost in the dark surrounded by negativity and people who live to manipulate and deceive them. maybe they just can't see what is right in front of them...maybe the don't want to see. why should it matter? well...because when someone you care about is lost and hurting...others hurt too. and it isn't fair to see a small glimpse of hope and then have it dashed against a rock. in fact...that sucks. i suppose that loving unconditionally means that sometimes you get your heart broken...*sigh* understanding the situation is pointless. wishing the situation will change is enduring. forgiving the hurt is hard. continuing to love is easy...but to what end?
